Rathan Transport is the cargo venture, run from Uppinangady by Uday K Suvarna. It is a small, hands-on operation: three heavy six-wheel goods trucks, a set of regular drivers and routes that run across Karnataka.
Most of the work is everyday freight — general cargo for traders, stock for shops, building material and the heavier loads that need a truck with the right body. Wherever it is going, the same three things matter: the load is secured properly, the driver knows the route, and someone picks up the phone when you call to ask where it has reached.
